Laurent Ferrier Presents the Limited 10-Piece Classic Origin SHH Edition
Laurent Ferrier Classic Origin SHH Edition

Singapore, September 2022 — To commemorate the opening of Sincere Fine Watches’ new flagship SHH Boutique in The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Laurent Ferrier unveils a new limited-edition of their Classic Origin. A company synonymous with technical refinement and flawless finishing, the watch is housed within a 40mm stainless steel case and endowed with a gradient green opaline dial – and will be limited to just 10 pieces.

Consistent with Genevan Maison’s inclination for uncluttered aesthetics, Classic Origin SHH Edition exhibits a minimalist refined beauty. This limited edition reveals a unique gradient almond green dial with 18-carat white gold drop shaped hour markers. The Classic Origin SHH Edition features a gradient opaline dial that transitions from translucent green at its centre to a deep spring green near its periphery. The slate grey hour track is punctuated with deep forest green numerals which give the
whole piece a velvety character. Furthermore, a snailed small second’s dial is placed at 6 o’clock.

The legendary Assegai-shaped hour and minute hands, in 18-carat white gold, float peacefully across the centre of the dial. In addition, the emblematic “ball” shaped crown of the LF House remains. Beyond its graceful appearance, both the scale and the voluptuous shape of this crown facilitate winding. “In designing this watch, our aim was to combine the desire of SHH for a green vintage piece, with our pure aesthetics codes, which are devoid of all superfluous details. Our wish was to create a timepiece that has a vintage appearance, is visually soft, while being modern and compelling. The challenge was to achieve this, while keeping to our philosophy of minimalist, uncluttered beauty.” – Mr. Christian Ferrier.

Laurent Ferrier Classic Origin SHH Edition 03 A Refined Calibre

The hand wound LF 116.01 calibre, visible via the case back sapphire, is refined to the highest order. The movement is equipped with a free-sprung balance and a Breguet overcoil. This latter combination enhances precision, mitigates positional errors, and improves isochronism. The firm’s beloved long-blade ratchet system is another highlight of this movement. This system, emblematic of Laurent Ferrier, offers a very pleasant feeling when the watch is wound as well as an inimitable sound, characteristic of the most demanding timepieces. Assuming the Classic Origin SHH Edition is fully wound, it will run autonomously for 80 hours, courtesy of its admirable power reserve. While the LF 116.01 calibre is simpler than some of the company’s complicated movements, it still encompasses the high-end finishing found on every other Laurent Ferrier creation. The bridges are decorated with a softly spoken micro-blasted, black rhodium finish and hand-polished edges. Each screwhead is mirror polished and the escapement bridge is gracefully adorned with a hand-made interior angle, consistent with the Maison’s fastidious attention to detail. Only 10 Classic Origin SHH Edition timepieces will be created to commemorate the opening of SHH’s new boutique. Each of the ten collectors will have a choice between a light brown or a dark green calf leather strap to complete this sophisticated limited edition paired with a stainless-steel pin buckle.

The Laurent Ferrier Classic Origin SHH Edition will be available at the new SHH boutique at unit #B2M-202 at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands from 7th of September 2022 onwards, with a retail
price of S$55,300 (including GST).
