The launch of Sincere Fine Watches’ latest concept boutique, SHH in Kuala Lumpur, spotlights the intricacies and marvels of independent watchmaking, delivering a uniquely luxurious retail experience tailored for Malaysia’s most discerning watch connoisseurs.
Spanning across a dual-storey duplex, this pioneering concept store represents Sincere’s debut as a multi-concept space. On the ground floor, discover a luxurious boutique that showcases the best of what horology has to offer, while the upper level introduces an innovative dining experience featuring seasonal culinary delights curated by renowned chefs.
At the start of 2023, recognizing the exceptional talent and expertise that Christiaan van der Klaauw brings to the watchmaking industry, Sincere Watch Group made the strategic decision to embark on an exclusive partnership with the only atelier in the world that devotes their entire design and production exclusively to hand-made astronomical watches. Since the announcement of the collaboration, it has been a journey of innovation and creativity, with both brands sharing the common goal of elevating watchmaking to new heights. A profound connection has been established, fueled by an appreciation for the artistry that both entities bring to the world of horology.
Following the launch of the first joint effort between the two brands – the highly successful Christiaan van der Klaauw CVDK Eise Eisinga Black DLC SHH Edition – both parties decided to embark on a second project together. A pledge of commitment by both parties to establishing a longstanding relationship with each other has culminated in the launch of the all new CVDK Planetarium Dunes of Mars Bi-Colour SHH Edition.
Mankind has always been fascinated by the mysteries of our Universe. As a tribute to the planet Mars, which is the fourth planet in our Solar System, Christiaan van der Klaauw is proud to present the CVDK Planetarium Dunes of Mars Bi-Colour SHH Edition. This timepiece is made with a specially created CVDK signature Aventurine Glass dial in red – portraying the red sandy grounds of Mars. In a limited edition of only 8 bi-colour cases, this beautiful Haute Horlogerie masterpiece contains the smallest mechanical Planetarium in the world, showing the real time orbits of Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn around the sun. This masterpiece comes with a custom bi-colour case, alongside a brown alligator strap. The Planetarium complication is a winner of the most prestigious watch award in the world, the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG).
The ultimate way to carry the universe closely to your heart, the in-house designed caliber CVDK7386 contains the smallest mechanical heliocentric planetarium in the world. It displays the real time solar orbits of Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. The timepiece also shows you the minutes, hours, date and month. The result is a magnificent spectacle that continues to fascinate in all its complex mechanical beauty.
The CVDK Planetarium Dunes of Mars Bi-Colour SHH Edition is astronomical watchmaking at the highest level, intricately designed and executed. The Planetarium is one of the most complicated watches in CVDK’s collection and is a fitting tribute to the grand masters of planetarium design – the likes of Nicolaas Copernicus, Johannes Kepler, Christiaan Huygens and Eise Eisinga.
Found at the 6 o’clock position, the world’s smallest mechanical Planetarium has the Sun positioned in the middle of the Planetarium. The planets gracefully orbit the Sun, each with its unique rhythm: Mercury in 87.97 days, Venus in 224.70 days, Earth in 365.24 days, Mars in 686.98 days, Jupiter in 11.86 years, and Saturn in 29.46 years. The orbital dance on the planetarium paints a cosmic picture that captivates, revealing the beauty and precision of our solar system.
The limited 8-piece Christiaan van der Klaauw CVDK Planetarium Dunes of Mars Bi-Colour SHH Edition will be available at SHH boutiques in the region with a retail price of SGD $69,500 (including GST). Click here to enquire.
