Sincere Fine Watches proudly announces its latest addition of its flagship boutique, SHH (Sincere Haute Horlogerie) in Taiwan. Nestled within the iconic Taipei 101 tower, this remarkable addition not only brings the pinnacle of independent watchmaking to the heart of Taipei, but also marks a significant stride in Sincere’s strategic expansion into the region. With its prime location and dedication to showcasing the finest in independent watchmaking, SHH is poised to become a beacon of luxury and sophistication in Taipei’s thriving landscape.
To commemorate the grand opening, Sincere Fine Watches and Christiaan van der Klaauw have embarked on their third partnership to introduce a refreshed execution of their initial collaboration on the Planetarium Eise Eisinga – the newest CVDK Planetarium Eise Eisinga Titanium SHH Edition.
The CVDK Planetarium Eise Eisinga Titanium SHH Edition features a custom titanium case specially created, and within it lies the smallest mechanical Planetarium in the world, showcasing the real-time orbits of Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn around the sun. This timepiece transcends functionality, emerging as a captivating marvel of mechanical beauty encapsulated within a titanium case.
This exceptional watch represents astronomical watchmaking at its pinnacle, meticulously crafted with intricate design and execution. The Planetarium, a marvel within CVDK’s collection, pays homage to the legendary masters of planetarium design such as Nicolaas Copernicus, Johannes Kepler, Christiaan Huygens, and Eise Eisinga.
Positioned at the 6 o’clock position, the world’s smallest mechanical Planetarium features the Sun at its center, with the planets gracefully orbiting around it, each following its unique rhythm: Mercury in 87.97 days, Venus in 224.70 days, Earth in 365.24 days, Mars in 686.98 days, Jupiter in 11.86 years, and Saturn in 29.46 years. This mesmerizing orbital dance paints a cosmic picture that captivates, showcasing the exquisite beauty and precision of our solar system.
The Planetarium complication is a winner of the most prestigious watch award in the world, the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG).
The inspiration behind the dial traces back to the ceiling of the Eise Eisinga Planetarium, located in Franeker, Netherlands. Crafted from wooden planks awash in regal blue hues and embellished with meticulously painted gold scales, the planetarium operates through a discreet pendulum-wound mechanism concealed within the ceiling. The dial of the CVDK Planetarium Eise Eisinga Titanium SHH Edition artfully mirrors the celestial wonder of the ceiling planetarium, meticulously replicating faux planks and woodgrain. This exquisite craftsmanship is attributed to Gaël Colon, a distinguished Swiss miniature painter renowned for his mastery in watch dials.
Adorned with a hand-painted dial, black alligator strap accented with blue stitching, and limited to just 8 titanium models, the CVDK Planetarium Eise Eisinga Titanium SHH Edition will be available at Sincere Fine Watches, #01-12 of Takashimaya S.C., and the SHH Boutique, #B2M-202 of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands – with a retail price of SGD $59,600 (including GST).
