- Sport Auto 79
Defined by restraint and balance, the Sport Auto 79 carries a composed presence, its opaline dial lending depth and nuance within a rose gold case. Beneath this calm exterior lies a movement shaped by Laurent Ferrier’s pursuit of harmony and precision — complex in construction, yet effortless in the way its mastery is perceived. In its considered elegance, the timepiece embodies the quiet intensity of passion, where every detail is honed with devotion and every moment cherished.
The Laurent Ferrier Sport Auto 79 is crafted entirely in 5N red gold. In contrast to the warm radiance of the case, the dial features a cream-toned opaline finish with a soft, powdery texture. This distinctive effect is achieved through a galvanic treatment that lends the surface a subtle rose-silver hue.
Red gold indices and hands are coated with white Super-LumiNova® for enhanced legibility. At 6 o’clock, a snailed small-seconds counter is accented with powder-grey markers, complemented by a matching powder-grey minute track. A discreet “Sport Auto” transfer sits between the central hands and the small seconds, preserving the clean aesthetic of the collection.
Inside beats the LF270.01 calibre — an exquisitely finished automatic movement with a micro-rotor, entirely designed, decorated, and assembled in Laurent Ferrier’s Geneva workshops. Inspired by the brand’s natural escapement micro-rotor, this robust calibre features a 950 platinum oscillating weight and showcases exceptional hand-finishing throughout.
