Czapek & Cie. presents the Quai des Bergues “Sursum Corda,” created to commemorate two milestones: 180 years since Master WatchMaker François Czapek opened his atelier, and a decade of the Maison’s modern renaissance — united in a single, poetic creation.
Crafted in 18K rose gold with a pristine white grand feu enamel dial, the watch reveals a discreet inscription concealed beneath the surface, visible only when light meets the enamel at just the right angle. “Sursum Corda,” meaning 'Lift up your hearts', is a message cherished by CEO Xavier de Roquemaurel and often invoked during challenging moments throughout his entrepreneurial journey. At the dial’s centre, a laser-engraved “10 / 180” emblem marks the dual anniversaries, while a reproduction of François Czapek’s historical signature drawn from the Geneva archives rests within the small seconds subdial positioned between 7 and 8 o’clock.
Within, Czapek & Cie.’s mechanical calibre SXH1 with twin barrels offers a seven-day power reserve, its architecture inspired by nineteenth century pocket watches.
