The new L.U.C XPS 1860 Officer SHH Edition is adorned with an exceptionally refined 18-carat gold hand-guilloché dial and incorporates a unique shade of Royal Blue for the very first time. Limited to just 12 pieces, the timepiece features a 40 mm diameter case. A hinged back cover containing hand-engraved motifs, gracefully opens to unveil the intricately crafted movement within.
A simple press on the crown-integrated pusher of the L.U.C XPS 1860 Officer SHH Edition effortlessly reveals a captivating secret: the intricately crafted L.U.C 96.01-L movement that was introduced by Chopard in 1997. Despite this addition, the watch maintains its svelte 7.7 mm thickness and retains its comfortable fit on the wrist. The automatic winding mechanism of the L.U.C Calibre 96.01-L is driven by a meticulously crafted micro-rotor made of ethical 22-carat gold, renowned for its high inertia that enhances efficiency. This exceptional design incorporates two barrels arranged with Chopard's Twin technology, delivering a substantial 65-hour power reserve.
The inside of the back cover contains hand-engravings of a beehive and bees, the arrangement of the latter deliberately varied, ensuring a distinctive touch for each timepiece, while the honeycomb motif that appears on the outside of the back cover matches that of the dial, creating a captivating interplay of light and shadow.
